Our ligature-resistant sinks are designed to combine the look and feel of commercial grade designer sinks while keeping the patient’s safety in mind. BestCare® sinks are seamless, featuring an integrated bowl, backsplash, and sidesplash. They are available in solid surface or stainless steel for added durability. BestCare sinks come in a variety of colors and finishes. Shown below is our ligature-resistant, ADA-compliant Corterra® cast solid surface basin, model no. WH3776.

Ligature-Resistant Faucets
BestCare® faucets are designed with sloping surfaces and a triangular shape to minimize ligature attachment points. This dual temperature faucet, model no. WH3375-HC-SO, is ligature-resistant and sensor-activated for enhanced infection prevention. A dual temperature solenoid valve is also supplied.

Ligature-Resistant Toilet with Flush Valve Panel
BestCare® stainless steel toilets are designed to be wider behind the bowl, reducing potential ligature points. They are fabricated from heavy, 16-gauge stainless steel with a white Enviro-Glaze® powder coat. Shown below are the model no. WH2142-ADA-W ligature-resistant toilet (top supply, on-floor mounting, wall waste) and the model no. WH2898-ADA flush valve access panel for wall-supply toilets.

Ligature-Resistant Showers
Conventional showers feature an array of hazardous ligature points. BestCare® shower solutions minimize ligature points by incorporating features such as conical shower heads; ADA-compliant, tri-lever handles; seamless panel covers; and ligature-resistant shower drains. Model no. WH538-FH-CSH (shown below), features dual ligature-resistant shower heads with tri-lever handles and a ligature-resistant temperature/pressure balancing mixing valve and diverter valve.

Traditional drains are an unexpected source of ligature points. BestCare® drains come in a variety of attractive styles that minimize ligature points while also protecting against intentional clogging. Ligature-Resistant Linear Drain
BestCare® Linear drains are ideal for applications where ADA accessibility is a must. Simple design and durable construction create a clog-resistant alternative to traditional shower drains and help maintain a clean and healthy behavioral healthcare environment. Shown below is the Model No. WHLD Series ligature-resistant linear drain with flashing flange. It’s V-shaped trough design with centered, 2-inch no-hub outlet allows for a single slope to drain, in turn allowing the use of larger tiles and greater design flexibility

Ligature-Resistant Vinyl Floor Drain
Ligature-Resistant Vinyl Floor Drain
The BestCare® ligature-resistant floor drain is designed with an internal gusset system in the grate assembly to help minimize ligature points. The round-top grate head is designed for clamping vinyl flooring or other waterproof material at the finished floor level. A reversible 4" flashing collar permits adjustment of grate to meet the finished floor level. Shown below is the model no. WHFDV-6RD-2NH vinyl floor drain with ligature- and tamper-resistant grate.
